Leoni Swart wins Novo Nordisk Foundation Prize
Congratulations to Leoni Swart, NCCR AntiResist Postdoctoral Fellow, who recently won the Novo Nordisk Foundation Prize for her oral presentation at the Pseudomonas 2024 conference at the beginning of September.
Leoni presented work recently published in Nature Microbiology on P. aeruginosa colonisation of human lung tissues, entitled Goblet cell invasion by Pseudomonas aeruginosa promotes breaching of human respiratory epithelia.
The award is a cash prize, but more importantly, Leoni says it is “very nice to receive such recognition for our work and of course a boost in confidence for my presenting skills!”.
